I quickly learned that no one actually EVER talks about AFTER PREGNANCY "joys".  Not only did I have the normal swelling that occurs after birth, but I unfortunately (despite my amazing doctor) had some tearing.  Fortunately, I had Motherlove Sitz Bath Spray waiting at home for me.  I truly don't know what I would have done without it.

The spray helps to soothe sore perineal muscles, reduce swelling, slow bleeding, and help ease discomfort associated with hemorrhoids. It's also VERY affordable!  I used it every time I went to the bathroom once I got home from the hospital and it lasted almost 3 weeks. What's even more amazing is that I can actually pronounce and know what all the ingredients are, which consists of distilled water, witch hazel herb, yarrow herb, uva ursi herb, grain alcohol, lavender essential oil, and grapefruit essential oil.

Every time I used the spray, I could immediately notice an easing of the discomfort I was facing.  Now I've never had a child before my beautiful daughter, so I do not have a previous experience to compare too, however, I could notice a reduction in swelling and I had almost completely stopped bleeding between my 2 and 3 week postpartum mark. I can truly say that I definitely without a doubt believe it helped in my recovery time.  I have already recommended it to many moms and will continue to do so every chance I get.

My only "suggestion" would be that I really wish the bottle would be able to spray efficiently upside down.  I have seen products that are able to be used this way recently and definitely think it would be beneficial for the spray to be used either way to make it easier to spray "down there".  Though this would be a great additional benefit, it would never be a reason that I didn't buy the product.
